“When we decided to relocate and renovate, we reached out to Sarah for the expert help that we have come to know we can expect from her and the team at SGDI. This is the 3rd project that we have enlisted Sarah to design for us, so we knew what we were getting by working with her team. Of course, every house has different challenges when it comes to renovation, based on the location, what the city deems permissible, unknowns and surprises discovered upon the commencement of construction. This house had the advantage of being in Tsawwassen, extra convenient and advantageous as Sarah is a resident expert in South Delta, and her knowledge and involvement in dealing with the municipality on our behalf in order to achieve what we wanted, proved to be an immense asset.

The house we purchased is on an amazing ocean view property but was severely dated and in need of some major reinvention. The vision that we had for this home was to create a place where friends and family would feel comfortable visiting and to stay overnight as needed after special occasions or afternoons spent poolside in the sunshine! Sarah was able to reconfigure the floorplan and design purposeful additions to make this happen in a very comfortable way, without compromise to the main living areas of the house.

Being in the construction industry (not so much the residential side) I am always amazed at Sarah’s knowledge of construction. What she designs will work! And if for some reason it doesn’t, she can change it to make it work. Many designers will design details that are not practical or possible. Sarah and her team are very aware of these sorts of limitations.

The team at SGDI worked with us to create a home that had the open flow that we desired, but would remain functional, while being a showstopper! The kitchen, bar, living, and dining room area are simply awesome! We wanted something unique, and we feel that Sarah and her team certainly delivered! It speaks for itself that we have used Sarah Gallop Design for 3 home projects now… but the thing that we are wowed by is how every project, while being exactly what we wanted for that home at that time, are all so different from one another. Sarah has a real depth for personalizing a home, and an ability to be ever evolving through the times with her designs… we wouldn’t go anywhere else!”

“We started dreaming about a renovation to our small home near the beach a few years ago. We wanted to open things up and create a beach house feel. The design team quickly developed a concept with us that gave us more room and opened up the small inside room. With our busy schedule, running around to suppliers for finishes would have been very time-consuming, but you don’t do that with the Gallop process. We had access to all the finishes and materials in their office – no running around. The design team really understood us and working brought us colours, finishes and materials that we narrowed down easily. I had heard goods things about her, but had never worked with a residential designer before, so I was skeptical to say the least. I have heard that a lot of designers are good at making things pretty, but are not that great at understanding how things are actually built- Sarah is fantastic at both. “When we were looking to renovate our home my wife and I engaged Sarah Gallop Design to help us with the design process. We had a modest home that no longer suited our needs and we wanted higher end finishes in a smaller home.
